UZOCHI YOGA SCHOLARSHIP
Uzo: Means "road," "way," or "path" & Chi: Means ‘higher power’ or ‘guardian angel - traditional Nigerian given name of Igbo origin
This scholarship supports emerging wellness practitioners, leaders, and advocates by reducing financial barriers and nurturing their growth across mind, body, and purpose—combining financial support with community and purpose-led development to empower meaningful impact.
THE SCHOLARSHIP
50% contribution towards tuition fees for accredited yoga teacher program
Beyond Funding (Holistic Support), to reflect a true “holistic” model, scholars may also receive:
· Access to a mentor or wellness network
· Invitations to community or learning events
· Opportunities to share their journey and impact
· Inclusion in a growing wellness alumni collective
ELIGIBILITY
This scholarship supports individuals pursuing training or development in areas such as yoga teacher training, community-based initiatives, accessible or trauma-informed practices, and mindfulness, breathwork, or embodied movement—particularly where there is a clear link to social impact.
Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to holistic wellness, a clear sense of purpose and community impact, and evidence of potential and dedication. Consideration will also be given to financial need, alongside alignment with values of inclusivity, balance, and meaningful contribution.
SELECTION APPROACH
· Strong Application form (authenticity of lived experience rather than AI)
· Shortlisted candidates may will be invited to an interview and submission review.
· Commitment to course completion
· Commitment to completing your Seva Project at the end of the training.
